Now Hiring: CARILLON HISTORICAL PARK • LIVING HISTORY ASSISTANT

Position Description: Living History Assistants at Carillon Historical Park are responsible for the instruction of the Park’s educational workshops and for performing historical interpretation in the Park’s exhibit buildings. Through conversation, exhibition and production of traditional crafts and domestic skills, Living History Assistants will interpret the daily life, history and intangible cultural heritage of the early settlement of Dayton, Ohio to Museum guests.

This position reports to the Assistant Director of Education and the Living History Specialists at Carillon Historical Park. This position is part-time and hourly with a schedule of 15-25 hours per week, including weekend assignments. Pay rate is $8.15 per hour.

Qualifications: A degree in education, history, or a closely related field, as well as experience in teaching or an equivalent supervisory role is required. The individual in this capacity must be a skilled teacher who enjoys all ages and backgrounds, be efficient and flexible, and have strong organizational skills.

Now Hiring: CARILLON HISTORICAL PARK • GUEST EXPERIENCE TEAM MEMBER

Position Description: Guest Experience Team Members at Carillon Historical facilitate, coordinate and execute Dayton History experiences for Dayton History guests of all ages. This position will perform tasks in guest services and historical interpretation within the Education Department to improve the guest experience through all stages of planning and execution.

The individual in this position is responsible for understanding all workshops and programs offered by the Dayton History Education Department, familiarizing themselves with all Dayton History sties, and contributing to the evaluation and improvement of all Dayton History site guest experiences. This position reports to the Guest Experience Coordinator. This position is part-time and hourly with a schedule of 15-25 hours per week, including weekend assignments. Pay rate is $8.15 per hour.
