Choose from our annual events & workshops, or create your own personalized historical experience that fits your unique educational needs. In February, Dayton History presents Fight Night, an exhibition-boxing event at Memorial Hall. Dayton’s own V.I.P.’s will train for their big debut. The fighters will go toe to toe for three rounds in a boxing ring constructed for this night.
The Easter Sunrise Service is Carillon Historical Park’s oldest event. Since 1942, this powerful display of faith has continued, unbroken—a ceaseless tradition in an ever-changing city.
Held each May, Fleurs de Fete is Carillon Historical Park’s original “party in the park.” Guests enjoy more than 400 wine samplings and delicious dishes from dozens of local restaurants.
Held on Memorial Day weekend, Heritage Day at Carillon Historical Park celebrates Dayton’s unparalleled history through special activities, costumed interpreters, and more. Draped in patriotic decorations, the Park welcomes thousands of guests each year to this family friendly event!
In June, Dayton History and the Carillon Park Rail and Steam Society present the annual Carillon Park Rail Festival. Enjoy free miniature train rides, live steam engines, model train displays, historical displays, train merchandise, rail vendors, and much more.
Celebrate the Maker movement with a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness. Watch people create and share what they learn. Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to scientists to garage tinkerers. Maker Faire aims to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community.
Enjoy over 200 antique classic automobiles and motorcycles, live entertainment, an automotive art pavilion with nationally recognized automotive artists, and a variety of local food and beverages including a beer garden.
Held the weekend before Thanksgiving, Ringing in the Holidays is Carillon Historical Park’s annual holiday gala. Featuring live music, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, delicious desserts, specialty cocktails, a silent auction, and more, this festive occasion is the perfect way to, well, ring in the holidays.
The Carillon Tree of Light will brighten the Dayton skyline once again with the first lighting of the season on November 28th. The lighting kicks-off a month of seasonal programming as Carillon Historical Park is turned into a winter wonderland of lights, music, food, and family fun!
