Dayton History is a private non-profit charity and museum that serves many guests, including children. Dayton History also sells alcoholic beverages and operates machinery and amusement rides. Due to these and other factors, all employment offers are conditional pending results of criminal and credit background checks.

Dayton History and Carillon Brewing Co. strive to create unique historical experiences for visitors of all ages. In order to achieve this, we require the following of all our staff during their time at work:
  • No Tobacco
  • A smoke-free property
  • No Visible Tattoos or Piercings (single earrings are permitted)
  • Ability to Stand, Walk, Climb Stairs
  • Life-Long Learner
Costumed Staff (Carillon Brewing Co, Culp's Café, and Interpreters)
  • Employees must demonstrate an interest in learning about history, beer, and food. (Specifically Carillon Brewing Co. and Culp's Café)
  • Wear a Historical Costume
  • Clean, pressed, and maintained costume should be worn at all times (also applies to provided uniform for kitchen)
  • Neutral Makeup Only (no nail polish)
  • Clean, Restrained hair – women’s long hair should be in a bun, Men’s hair should be kept short
