NCR Old River Park Reopens for Summer!

Under the management of Dayton History, NCR Old River Park will open Sunday, June 7, and continue with a summer schedule of Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. through Labor Day.

The reopening coincides with the 70th anniversary of the park, which first opened on June 3, 1939, for NCR employees and their families under the leadership of then-Chairman of the Board, Colonel Edward Deeds.

“We are so pleased NCR is allowing us to bring this wonderful historic asset back to life and make it available to the community. What a tremendous opportunity it is for us, as the guardian of the NCR Archive, to reopen a place that holds so many memories for generations of NCR employees,” stated Brady Kress, President & CEO of Dayton History.

NCR Old River Park features will include:

“So many people who are part of this community or who have ties to NCR can recount good times with family, friends and co-workers at Old River Park. It was a destination for many decades, and thanks to Dayton History, it’s now possible to share the Old River experience once again. It’s exciting to see the park brought back to life for NCR’s 125th anniversary year,” said NCR Senior Vice President – Human Resources, Andrea Ledford.
