Hawthorn Hill

Thanks to an existing partnership between Dayton History and The Wright Family Foundation, Hawthorn Hill, the Oakwood mansion that Orville Wright called home for nearly 35 years is available for tours and some select events. Hawthorn Hill boasts a long and colorful history of hosting distinguished visitors, including Charles A. Lindbergh. This elite venue was personally designed by the Wright brothers and is available for rent for photography session from bridal party photos to senior pictures, or even family photography sessions. Hawthorn Hill is also available to rent for specific, pre-approved elite events.  All events hosted at the Hawthorn Hill must be approved by the Wright Brothers’ Foundation.
