Wright Flyer

Voted "Best Historical Artifact" in the January 2008 issue of Ohio Magazine,  the 1905 Wright Flyer III is the world's first practical airplane. The Wright Flyer III is the first airplane to receive the National Historic Landmark designation, and it is a component of the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historic Park. Also on display is the camera that took the now world famous first flight photograph - daily.
