Authentic Hearth Cooking Class debuts at Carillon Historical Park April 19th, 2008

Journey back in time to explore the creation of a historic meal from hearth to table. If you have enjoyed attending Tavern Dinners or would simply like to delve deeper into the history of cooking, “A Taste of Hearth Cooking” is the class for you. Participants will learn the techniques used in hearth cooking while preparing a meal using authentic ingredients and historic recipes and tools. At the end of the class, enjoy the fruits of your labors by the warmth of the William Morris House fireplace.

 

A Taste of Hearth Cooking will take place on Saturday, April 19th from 12pm to 5pm at Carillon Historical Park. Space is limited and advanced reservations are required. The cost is $35 for Dayton History members and $40 for non-members. Make more than one reservation at the same time to receive a $5 discount on each reservation.
